PolyLite™ PLA features Jam-Free™ technology:
Jam-Free™ technology improves the heat stability of Polymaker’s PLA filaments with softening temperatures over 140 °C. As a result, Polymaker’s PLA filaments show minimal softening in the “cold end” and can melt rapidly once entering the heating zone, leading to excellent printing quality with zero risk of nozzle jams caused by heat creep.

Storage & Drying
MAGIGOO Original is best stored upright, with the cap closed and away from direct sunlight.
Before packaging, PolyLite™ PLA is dried to ensure the best printing quality and filaments are vacuum sealed to protect the filament from moisture.
While not a strict requirement to use PolyLite™ PLA, we recommend that the material be used with the PolyBox™ or a dry cabinet during printing to keep the filament at dry conditions (relative humidity of 15% or less) to prevent moisture absorption which will lower the quality and the mechanical properties of the print.
When not in use PolyLite™ PLA should be stored away from sunlight in the packaged resealable bag. If the filament does absorb moisture, spools of PolyLite™ PLA can be dried in a preheated convection oven at 80˚C for up to 8 hours. Results may vary depending on the accuracy of your oven so please be conservative. For more information about filament drying please read our user guide.

Q: How does PolyLite™ PLA compare to other PLA materials?
A: Like Polymaker's other products, PolyLite™ PLA is designed specifically with 3D printing in mind. PolyLite™ PLA is manufactured with Polymaker's patented Jam-Free™ technology to prevent heat creep jamming and during R&D, significant time was spent optimizing the softening temperature, material flow and printing characteristics to ensure excellent results on a wide range of 3D printers.
Q: Does Jam-Free™ technology prevent all filament jamming?
A: Jam-Free™ technology is designed to prevent jamming caused by heat creep. There are many reasons why a material may jam, such as printing with the wrong extruder temperature or incorrect nozzle height; Polymaker's Jam-Free™ technology won't prevent jamming in these cases.
Q: Can PLA be printed at large scales without warping?
A: One of the benefits of PLA is the ability to print large parts with excellent dimensional stability; we have many customers printing large full-size printing projects in PolyLite™ PLA. Please note that while PLA materials don't warp in most situations, printing with poor first layer adhesion can cause any material to warp and printing or the heated bed too hot can cause any PLA filament to crystallize rapidly, creating internal stress and warping.
Q: What support materials can I use with this product?
A: Polymaker’s PolyDissolve™ S1 or PolySupport™ filament are the recommended support filaments for PolyLite™ PLA. If your 3D printer is not equipped for multi-material, self-support can be used.

Q: How do I apply Magigoo?
A: It is best to apply Magigoo when the printing bed is cool. Before applying, shake the Magigoo pen like you mean it, press down the nib on the printing bed for Magigoo to flow. Spread more or less evenly on the printing area. It is enough to cover your active print area with an even thin layer. DO NOT SQUEEZE the bottle to avoid applicator popping off. Applicator has a valve which is activated once you push on it.
Q: Do I need to apply Magigoo everytime?
A: For good and reliable adhesion we recommend to apply Magigoo every time.
Q: How do I clean my bed after using Magigoo?
A: After your prints have finished and popped off, clean the printing bed by wiping with a damp cloth. Yes, just water is enough.
Q: How long will Magigoo last for?
A: One Magigoo 50ml pen is good for on average 100 prints. There is no firm best before date as it will vary depending on use and storing conditions - Once opened, we recommend to use it in a couple of months.
Q: Will Magigoo work with my existing printing surface?
A: Magigoo was originally formulated with borosilicate glass surfaces in mind however we have also had good success applying Magigoo to surfaces like Buildtak, in these cases Magigoo can work as a release agent for materials which can over-adhere like PET with PEI.
