UV Resistant - With excellent weather resistance (UV, water and heat) PolyLite™ ASA is the ideal choice for printing parts that must survive in the harsh outdoors. Most plastics tend to become brittle and their color turns yellow when exposed to UV radiation or sunshine but with PolyLite™ ASA the appearance and mechanical properties of your 3D prints are not influenced negatively by UV light.
Water Resistant - PolyLite™ ASA is resistant to Environmental Stress Cracking (ESC). This allows printed parts to face the outdoors, high humidity and rain over long periods of time.
ABS alternative - PolyLite™ ASA performs better in both thermal and mechanical properties compared with general ABS filaments. It also features a Vicat softening temperature of 105℃ which slightly exceeds ABS.

As a 3D printing material, ASA has already become a popular choice for automotive prototypes, in construction, and household applications. PolyLite™ ASA is similar to ABS but with improved weather resistance. Its UV resistance and excellent mechanical properties make it the perfect choice for real-life applications or parts that will spend time outdoors. Weather resistance can be broken down into 3 factors: UV resistance, water resistance and thermal stability of which ASA outperforms many other plastics.
Polymaker developed and produced the 3D printing material for the world largest 3D printed pedestrian footbridge project completed by Shanghai Construction Group. Polymaker was invited to join this project from the very beginning to help develop a custom ASA 3D printing material for the bridge. During the whole processes, through plenty of tests and experiments, Polymaker has mastered the properties, compounding formulas and production techniques of ASA. As a result, PolyLite™ ASA gains several advantages over other ASA filaments:

PolyLite™ ASA like all other Polymaker materials is manufactured using state-of-the-art polymer processing technologies and equipment. Polymakers rigorous quality control process ensures industrial standards of reliability for a consistent customer experience.
Tolerance: Polymakers custom developed extrusion, control and monitoring solutions ensure filament tolerance (typical tolerance ± 0.02mm) and roundness meet Polymakers strict quality standards.
Reliable Mechanical, Colouring & Printing Properties: Every batch of filament products are tested to ensure all quality specs (melt flow, softening point, mechanical, diameter, round-ness) are met.
Drying & Vacuum Sealing: Before packaging, all Polymaker filaments are dried to a moisture level of < 0.1% to ensure the best printing quality and are vacuum sealed to protect the filament from moisture. All vacuum packaged products are left for 24 hours before boxing to ensure they are leak-free.
Transparent Spool: PolyLite™ ASA is carefully wound on Polymakers 1kg transparent spools. With the transparent spool and the weight gauge, it is easy to see exactly how much filament is left for your next printing project.
Resealable Bag: PolyLite™ ASA is packaged in a resealable bag to ensure your filament is moisture free. We recommend keeping this bag for filament storage.
