PLEASE NOTE: To print this material an industrial grade 3D Printer like the FUNMAT HT or FUNMAT PRO HT is required. Due to the demanding printing requirements for this material we cannot guarantee success with any other 3D Printer brands or models.
Ultem® 1010 PEI (Polyether Imide) is a high-performance polymer that combines excellent thermal properties, exceptional dimensional stability, inherent flame retardancy, and good chemical resistance. Ultem® resin offers the ability to create parts with excellent properties at elevated temperatures due to a high glass transition temperature (Tg) of 217°C.
FEATURE SUMMARY
High Mechanical and Thermal Performance: Ultem 1010 is chemically resistant, thermally-stable, and cost-effective alternative to metal that is strong enough to replace steel in some applications and light enough to replace aluminum in others. For applications like transmission components, throttle bodies, ignition components, sensors and thermostat housings,
Flame Retardance: INTAMSYS Ultem 1010 is a self extinguishing plastic suitable for applications requiring flame retardance. Ultem 1010 is classified as UL94 V-0.
Chemical Resistance: INTAMSYS Ultem 1010 provides good resistance to a broad range of chemicals, such as automotive fluids, fully halogenated hydrocarbons, alcohols, and aqueous solutions.
Dissipation: INTAMSYS Ultem 1010 exhibits stable dielectric constant and dissipation factor over a wide range of temperatures and frequencies
Hydrolytic stability: INTAMSYS Ultem 1010 is resistant and suitable for long-term hydrolytic stability

It is important to remove Ultem 1010 parts from the bed while the temperature is still high, removing a print after it has cooled may cause the glass plate to break because the print will shrink more rapidly than the glass.
Annealing Settings
Ultem 1010 printed parts can be annealed in an oven after printing to facilitate crystal growth and maximize mechanical / thermal performance.
- Set the oven temperature at 150˚C and place the print in the oven immediately for an hour.
- increase the temperature to 200˚C and leave it for 2 hours.
- Lower the temperature to 150˚C and leave it for 30 minutes.
- Finally, turn off the oven and leave it to cool down to room temperature before removing the print.
