Polymaker win ’Material Company of the year’ at 2017 3D Printing Industry Awards

This year on May 20th, 3D Printing Industry hosted a gala dinner to announce the winners for their first annual 3D Printing Industry Awards. In attendance were representatives from Polymaker, 3D Systems, Siemens, Desktop Metal, Shining 3D, Markforged, Sinterit, HP, Dassault Systèmes, DWS, Autodesk and more!

Polymaker won in the "Materials company of the year" category. This recognition was earned thanks to their dedication to material innovation through products like their PC (PolyCarbonate) family, which drastically improved the quality and accessibility of printing PC by lowering the traditional printing temperature of 300°C down to 250°C. Their latest and most popular product has been the revolutionary PolySmooth and Polysher post processing technology that removes 3D Printed layerlines, leaving behind a smooth and glossy surface.

Polymakers EMEA Business development manager, Wildrik van der Weiden attended to ceremony to accept the award, with Polymaker tweeting a photo of the award. It was funny to see the 3D Printing Industry awards feature the 3D Printing lines that Polymakers Polysher technology was developed to remove.
